Executive Secretary
The Office of the Jurisdictional Executive Secretary is responsible for developing and maintaining data pertaining to the Third Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and overseeing the credentialing of those engaged in the ministry of the Church. In addition, the office coordinates the certification of delegates to the General Assembly through the Office of the General Secretary (COGIC), publishes official documents and certificates, maintains the official record of Jurisdictional proceedings, distributes pertinent information to the constituents of the Jurisdiction, the Bishop and the Executive Board.

To All Prospective Credential Holders
Anyone who is appointed to any position must now have the criminal background check and the online sexual misconduct course completed before they will be issued any credentials. You must take the Sexual Misconduct Training Course and successfully complete it before you can be certified. After completing the course, an additional link will appear to access the payment page to be certified. The cost is approximately $15.00

Background Check Request Form
The base cost of the background check is $30.00. Some courts impose an "access fee" to search records which varies by court. Since court fees cannot be determined in advance the court fee is added to the base $30.00 fee. A temporary reserve amount of $96.50 is held on the card to cover the most extreme court fees which will be released once the complete cost is determined. Fees will be billed by DataFacts. Welcome to the Assessment, Records, and Credentialing Dashboard for the Church Of God In Christ. The ARC Dashboard will provide credential holders and appointees with up-to-date information about the pre-requisites for licensing and credentials and also provide a status of their applications. As April 2013, Background Checks and completion of the Sexual Misconduct Training are REQUIRED for all appointment, license, and credential renewals.
Below you will find your status on fulfilling the pre-requisites for the current Licensing and Credentialing process. The Licensing and Credentialing process is managed by your Jurisdictional Secretary and the General Secretary's Office. If you have any questions about your request, please first contact Elder J. Derek White Jurisdictional Secretary, then the General Secretary's Office.
